RLDatix in collaboration with BMJ have uncovered key insights in a recent report, Data and Decision-Making Regarding Patient Safety Incidents: A Survey of Leaders in Healthcare Organisations

The survey indicated strong support for holistic data integration, with most respondents considering the integration of data related to patient safety incidents as either extremely useful or very useful. “These areas are interconnected and interdependent parts in the process of delivering care and cannot be evaluated separately.”

The role of workforce and organisation-related factors were also highlighted as components in shaping patient safety outcomes, with psychological safety and blame culture mentioned as additional barriers to patient safety.
