Role Summary:

Working closely with Account Managers to undertake the Allocate Software’s Roster Assessment Exercise (RA), including SafeCare Assessments to measure how an organisation is managing its workforce at unit level.  The post holder will make recommendations where a Trust could make changes to its processes and policies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of its nursing and midwifery staff.  These two elements will then help organisations with a business case to purchase the software.  Travel nationally will be required on a regular basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake site visits to present Roster Assessment Process, often to organisations senior management teams, including executives

  • Undertake follow-up site visits to collect data for roster builds, most frequently with ward or unit managers

  • Interpret existing rostering data from various formats

  • Engage with the nursing and midwifery workforce to create a positive professional working relationship, providing reassurance as to the benefits of the system in their daily work

  • To provide demonstrations of Healthroster Optima Suite to managers and end users as required

  • To build nursing and midwifery rosters using data collected to evidence planned,  actual and paid roster

  • Use Healthroster databases to produce a report that highlights areas of inefficiencies or non-budgeted spend

  • Create report using existing template and share with senior Allocate team

  • Attend feedback session to Trust and respond to queries as required

  • Check the quality of assessments created by other consultants within Allocate

  • Liaise with the product teams regarding product features and changes, helping to keep the company’s products at the forefront of the industry

  • Assist in providing detailed responses to tenders

  • Assist with the training of internal Allocate staff in relation to the Healthroster Optima Suite

  • Maintain sales reporting information as required

  • Continually maintain an understanding of Allocate Software’s position in the marketplace, including a full understanding of competitive products.

  • Occasional attendance at exhibitions to promote the company’s products


 

Knowledge:

  • Become an expert on the range of products in the Healthroster Optima Suite

  • Maintain an up to date understanding of the latest releases of products

  • Have full understanding of the data required to complete a Roster Assessment

  • Have expert knowledge on the importance of rostering the nursing and midwifery workforce

  • Keep up to date with latest policy changes or evidence base associated with nursing and midwifery workforce management

  • Have an expert knowledge on how efficiencies and effectiveness can frequently be evidenced in nursing and midwifery workforce management


Skills/Qualifications/Experience Required:

  • Extensive experience of working with Allocate’s Healthroster product

  • Experience of working with Allocate’s SafeCare product (desirable)

  • Registered Nurse or Midwife (desirable)

  • Advanced level of Excel and Powerpoint knowledge and application

  • High level of educational qualification in English Language and Maths

  • Excellent written and verbal communications

  • Can demonstrate excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, that can be adapted to different levels of seniority

  • Previous experience of training and/or coaching/mentoring colleagues

  • Previous experience of influencing decision makers at a senior level

  • Self-motivated, methodical and driven to produce top quality accurate work, with evidence of attention to detail

  • Confidence  and experience in delivering presentations to prospective end users
